Spring fashion trends for actors [coh styled]
Actors and Actresses,
Are your wardrobes ready for Spring?
Fashion trends are meant to be interpreted in different ways. So how will you interpret some of this season’s hottest trends in your signature way, whether you’re hitting another audition, networking or attending your big opening night?
Don’t underestimate the power of your style to communicate your personality. Think about how you can elevate your brand as an actor through your personal style.
I share with you my top two Spring trends for men and women.
For actresses:
1. The 70’s Game. What better way to have fun with your style than by getting inspiration from a decade that was heavily influenced by music. Besides being the soundtrack to the Broadway musical Mamma Mia!, do you know how much influence ABBA’s colorful, disco style clothing had on the world of fashion?!
This season, the 70’s game is all about adding a little sophistication with sleeker lines and luxurious fabrics for modern-day glamour.
Think sleek and sexy jumpsuits like this one from Gucci.
Or beautiful vivid colors and bohemian-influenced styles à la Emilio Pucci.

1. Lace it up. Add a little romance to your wardrobe by mixing lace in unexpected ways. Too shy to wear a lace dress or shirt? Grab a lace clutch or shoes with lace detailing. Lace will be everywhere this Spring, just as much as fur/faux fur was everywhere last Fall.

For actors:
1. DB: Nothing says confident and sexy like a sleek double-breasted suit. Think of style icon Fred Astaire who was always dressed like a gentleman. It may sound old-school, but the modern look is all about a slim cut. And, think beyond the suit. Just a DB jacket alone can easily amp up your style quota.

2. Linen, the “It” fabric: From simply clean linen suits to worn-in style linen jackets and linen-blend lightweight coats, this fabric was all over the runways. Make linen your choice of fabric this Spring.
