Your 2011 Guide to Tony Award drinking! [awards season]

The Tony Awards are a time to drink.  Because you weren’t nominated.  Because that bitch from summer stock WAS nominated. Because you’re madly in love with Neil Patrick Harris, and he’ll never love you back. Whatever the reason, you’ll need to create some Tony-themed cocktails to impress your friends.  Here are a few recipe ideas to get  you started.

Scotch-boro Boys
3 oz. Orange Juice
2 oz. Lemon Juice
1 oz. Angostura Bitters
6 oz. Scotch
*Mix in a glass, and garnish with a slice of Orange

Bloody Bloody Mary Jackson
1 oz. Vodka
4 oz. Tomato Juice
1 dash Black Pepper
4 dashes Tabasco Sauce
1 dash Lemon Juice
*Mix in a tall glass with ice, and garnish with Celery

The Motherf*fucker with the Shot
2 oz. Patron Silver Tequila
4 oz. Redbull
*Mix in a glass, drop in a shot of Jagermeister, and chug!

Sutton Bananas Foster
1 oz. Banana Schnapps
1 oz. Dark Rum
2 oz. Half and Half Cream
* Mix together in a tall glass, add a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream, and top off with a slice of Banana and a sprinkle of Brown Sugar.

Anything Goes Punch
*Pour a little bit of anything you find in your liquor cabinet and refrigerator into a punch bowl.  And when I say anything, I mean anything!  Whiskey, Pinot Grigio, Colt 45, 4 Loco, pickle juice, hot sauce, milk, seltzer, ANYTHING!  Then top off with a bottle of sprite and add some maraschino cherries to make it even more festive.  After you and your friends drink the whole bowl, you’ll figure out the real reason this punch got it’s name!
